Presidents of El Salvador and Panama agree to strengthen CATHALAC

fuente:Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de PanamáOn August 16, 2007, the President of the Republic of El Salvador , Elías Antonio Saca, made an official visit to the President of the Republic of Panama , Martín Torrijos Espino. Among the results of this visit, agreements of technical and scientific cooperation were signed, as well as a Joint Press Release where both mandatories expressed the willingness for collaboration between both countries

Point number 9 of this Joint Press Release states that: "Both Mandatories expressed their interest in realizing exchange of information on successful experiences, such as: the Information System of International Cooperation in El Salvador and the one of the Water Center for the Humid Tropics of Latin America and the Caribbean (CATHALAC), headquartered in Panama, agreeing to promote the development of their capacities and to support the obtaining of international cooperation for  their strengthening”.
