Board of Directors
The Center’s activities will be directed and supervised by a Board of Directors ad honorem that will be renewed every two years, will consist of:
- A representative from the Panamanian Government
- Two (2) representatives from the Ministry of Environment or similar institutions for each of the three sub-regions (South America, Mexico, and Central America, and the Caribbean). A notification to the Chairman of the Board, expressing interest in participating in the Council, will be a requirement.
- A representative of a governmental organization of the donor community organizations to provide a significant financial contribution to the operation of the Center and may participate in meetings by the decision of the Council
- A representative of a non-governmental organization making a significant financial contribution to the operation of the Center and may participate in meetings by the decision of the Council;
- A representative of civil society; and
- Up to two (2) observers who make a significant financial contribution to the operation of the Center and can participate in meetings by Council decision.
- The representative of the Panamanian Government will be ex officio Chairman of the Board of Directors, and will fall on the figure of the General Administrator of the National Environmental Authority (ANAM).
