• CATHALAC possesses the largest geospatial and satellite information database in Mesoamerica and the Caribbean.
• The Regional Visualization & Monitoring System (SERVIR) is headquartered at CATHALAC and serves as a technological hub and incubator, and provides real-time and near real-time data and information related to disasters, human health, energy, climate, weather, ecosystems, agriculture, and biodiversity.
• Governments, local people, schools, scientists, and international agencies use CATHALAC’s work to prepare for disasters, perform research, create policies, and more.
• CATHALAC works with a range of global partners, including NASA, USAID, the World Bank, and UNEP, among others.  The Center also collaborates with academic and higher education institutions such as the University of Alabama in Huntsville, IRI of the Earth Institute at Columbia University, McGill University, Laval University, University of Gottingen, University of Maryland, Dartmouth University, IAGT at Cayuga Community College, University of Mississippi, University of South Florida, and others.
